Zeta Energy’s founding

Zeta Energy was founded by investor and technology enthusiast Charles Maslin on the conviction that better batteries can unlock a more capable energy future. After years of backing early battery research, Charles saw lithium-sulfur as the chemistry ready to move from the lab to the market.

In 2022, Zeta opened its Houston headquarters and became a battery company in the fullest sense: developing materials, building cells, and testing them under one roof. In the four years since, the team has taken its sulfurized-carbon technology from promising chemistry to pilot cells in customers’ hands.
